On August 2, our Caritas Astana foundation organized a special pilgrimage for the sick and their families to the national sanctuary of Kazakhstan — Ozernoye.
This day became even more significant because it coincided with the Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church under the motto “Pilgrims of Hope”, personally chosen by Pope Francis. Its goal is to revive the atmosphere of hope and trust that each of us needs so much.
Pilgrims from Astana, Shortandy Parish, Kellerovka prayed together at the Holy Mass, walked the Way of the Cross to the Carmelite Sisters’ Monastery and asked God for health, peace and strength for all who are going through illnesses and difficulties.
The Caritas Astana team prepared a delicious lunch with great love and care so that everyone felt like part of a big family.
Let hope accompany us on all the roads of life. Together we are Pilgrims of Hope!
